Are you a Berkeley parent hoping to expand your children’s horizons in the summer? San Francisco Children’s Musical Theater (SFCMT) can help. Led by director John Bisceglie, who has extensive experience dating back 20 years in commercial, community, and professional theater, the San Francisco Children’s Musical Theater program puts on productions and offers theater programs for kids and teens ages 5 to 25. It’s a great way for Bay Area kids from the Berkeley area to meet teens and kids from all across the San Francisco Bay area. It’s also a great way for kids to learn theater from a whole new perspective – from behind the curtain. Kids taking part in our children’s musical theater summer programs learn how to act, participate in every area of theater production, and put on live shows for real audiences. It’s a great way to build character, discipline, creativity, and just to have plain old fun.
Just like many Berkeley parks and recreation programs, our theater program for Bay Area kids and teens only rehearses on Saturdays. This makes the drive from Berkeley even simpler.
