JOHN BISCEGLIE (SFCMT/GCMT Founder/Director/Producer) Since 1985,
John Bisceglie has created, directed and choreographed hundreds of community,
commercial, and professional productions featuring actors of all ages. For nine
years, John held the title of Artistic Director for San Jose Parks and Recreation’s
Young People’s Theater, and has also served Gilroy’s Community Services
Department since 1991 (43 productions). In 2011, John created and directed
Gleeful! a full length movie musical featuring 175 young actors. The movie was
released in 2012 and played for 10 weeks at the the CineLux Theater in Morgan
Hill. For San Francisco, John created and produced five original musicals
including Rock-N-Roll Reunion and Gleeful Live! (Palace of Fine Arts), That
Kid Can Sing! and Forever Broadway (Herbst Theater), and SF Follies (Actors
Theatre SF & Pier 39 Theater). John is thankful to work with his wonderful team
whose dedication, energy, and talent make producing these shows possible.
JESSICA POISSON (SFCMT Production Manager/Vocal Director) is thrilled to be
working with John Bisceglie again after working backstage with him
in SF Follies and on stage in Forever Broadway. Jessica has almost
twenty years experience in the theater. A native New Englander, she is a
graduate of The Boston Conservatory with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal
Performance with an Emphasis in Opera. Her performance credits total
over fifty different productions across the United States and include Tessa
in The Gondoliers, the title role in Carmen, and Sandy in Grease. Jessica
has also recently starred in Shopping! The Musical and Party of Two in
San Francisco.
DEBBIE DOLPH (Box Office Manager/Production Assistant) first became
involved with John Bisceglie productions when her daughter, Emily, joined
her first show at age 10. Over the years, Debbie has helped whenever
needed, selling tickets as box office manager, supervising backstage,
embellishing costumes, and helping with set construction. Debbie’s biggest
enjoyment has been watching her daughter grow up in such a wonderful
program. Although, she first started helping in Gilroy, Debbie was more
than happy to follow Bisceglie to San Francisco and be part of the SFCMT
staff. She is a very proud stay at home mom and grandma and loves
every minute of it! Aside from sorting tickets, some of Debbie’s hobbies
include baking, cooking, and taking care of her four year old grandkids,
Allyson and Aiden. She would like to thank John for all the opportunities
he has presented to her family, including being a part of his SF Follies
production.
HOLLYANN FARGHER (GCMT Production Manager) has been working
with John Bisceglie since her son Josh first started participating in his
shows in 1998, at the young age of 5. Since then, Hollyann has assisted
with the production of 28 of John’s shows with the Gilroy Children’s
Musical Theater group, including the movie musical production, Gleeful!
, released in 2012. Hollyann has held many different roles including
backstage manager, light board operator, spotlight operator, set and
prop construction assistant, costume seamstress, and for the last eight
years has taken the role as Co-Producer/ Production Manager/Production
Assistant. Hollyann enjoys her role as Production Manager for GCMT and
helps out whenever she can with SFCMT productions as well. She hopes
these shows bring as much joy to the cast members and their families and
friends as they have for her and her family over the years.
KAYVON KORDESTANI-THOMPSON (Dance Director/Choreographer)
is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, where she earned a triple-
teaching credential in Music, English, and Elementary Education. She
also studied at the Theatre Artist’s Institute of San Jose. Kayvon has
performed, choreographed, directed or vocal directed over 60 shows
for various local theater groups. Kayvon served as the Artistic Manager
for the Children’s Musical Theater of San Jose and is currently the
Dance Director for the San Francisco Children’s Musical Theater and
the Gilroy Children’s Musical Theater. Kayvon began her association
with John Bisceglie in 1992 and has choreographed over 25 projects for
him including the original production of the SF Follies, winning her a Bay
Area Theater Critic’s Circle award for Best Choreography. Currently, she
teaches Kindergarten at Sartorette Elementary School in the Cambrian
School District. Kayvon dedicates all her work to her mom Nancy, the best
person anyone could be lucky enough to know.
EMILY DOLPH (Choreographer) is studying elementary education at San
Francisco State University and hopes to one day become a kindergarten
teacher. At ten years old, Emily started her journey with Bisceglie when
she participated in Forever Broadway in Gilroy. Throughout the years,
Emily’s role has changed and grown from being on stage as a dancing
table, to being behind the scenes helping with the choreography and the
mechanics of the show. Emily is more than grateful for the opportunity to
be part of this amazing program, as it has truly transformed her from a shy
young girl into an outgoing, quirky young woman. Her favorite experience
with Bisceglie productions thus far was her involvement with SF Follies
in the spring of 2011. Emily enjoys being part of the SFCMT staff and
helping Bisceglie’s vision come true. She loves working with the kids
and getting them just as excited as she is to perform on stage. Her true
passion in life is being a performer and making people smile. Although
performing and choreographing is so much fun for Emily, her favorite part
of her involvement with the program has been the amazing friends and
relationships she has made.
JOSH FARGHER (Choreographer) has performed in 27 productions
with John Bisceglie Presents since 1998. Josh has taken on many
different actor/singer/dancer roles, while also assisting John with costume
design, set detailing, prop construction, and choreography. In 2011,
Josh choreographed and performed in GCMT’s “Gleeful!”, John’s first
movie musical production. Josh graduated in June of 2012, earning his
Associates in Arts Degree, majoring in Visual Communications at the
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco. Josh
would like to thank John for the experience he has gained from the years
of performing and choreographing for his productions, which has helped
him reach his goals. Josh would also like to thank his family for their
ongoing support.
LAURA McCOY (Costume Coordinator, Editor) initially became involved
with John’s Gilroy shows when her son participated in his first Bisceglie
production in 2006. Since then, her entire family has at one point been
involved, as her two children (Megan and Thomas) have taken the stage
and her husband (Will) has assisted with set construction. Over the
years, Laura has helped with costumes and various production tasks
including writing, editing, and purchasing. She thoroughly enjoyed her
role as Production Manager for John’s original SF Follies in early 2009.
Laura is happy to be a part of SFCMT and always looks forward to
seeing the transformations that take place from auditions to curtain call.
She cherishes her role as wife and mother, works part time as a dental
hygienist, likes to cook, and has an innate passion for interior design and
bargain shopping. Laura is so thankful for the close friendships she has
made while discovering her love for theatre and holds deep gratitude to
John for introducing her to the magic.
