“Disney Movie Magic” Auditions! Friday, May 16th. Casting ages 5-18



If you like Disney, you’ll love South Bay Children’s Musical Theater’s “Disney Movie Magic” a new musical revue celebrating 100 years of music from your favorite Disney cinematic blockbusters.

This exciting musical celebration features an all-star cast of beloved Disney, Star Wars and Marvel characters who have dazzled the big screen and will now perform in an out of this world, action packed, theater production!

Our convenient nine week program with only one Friday rehearsal per week in San Jose makes participation easy for busy Bay Area families.

Our inclusive program accepts all youth who audition. SFCMT fosters diversity and inclusion and no experience is required.

Cost: The participation fee for the nine week program is $350 per child ($25 discount per sibling) and includes all rehearsal materials, use of costumes and a show t-shirt. In addition to the participation fee, families are responsible for purchasing dance shoes ($30) and selling tickets to the performances that take place at the Saratoga Civic Theater.

Auditions: Friday, May 16th from 4:30-7:00pm

Parent meeting: Friday, May 23rd from 6:00-7:00pm

8 Friday Rehearsals from 4:30-8:00pm (Cast members meet for one hour within this time frame, specifics to be determined when cast. Younger cast members tend to rehearse in the first hour of rehearsal.) Cast members are allowed to miss two pre-noted rehearsals.

May 30th
June 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
July 11th, 18th, 25th (No rehearsal July 4th)

Tech Week: July 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, August 1st from 5-8:30pm

Four performances: August 2nd & 3rd at 1:00pm and 4:30pm



How to prepare to audition:

1. Stop in anytime between 4:30pm and 7:00pm and plan to stay for 30-45 minutes.

2. Please prepare to sing sixteen bars (around thirty seconds) of any song (without music). Select a dynamic song that really shows off your personality and pipes. If your child is not comfortable singing at auditions, we can have them skip the singing portion of the audition and recite “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to “Disney Movie Magic!”

3. Bring a photo with you: A snapshot or print-out of a photo will help us remember you when it comes to casting.
