Join the cast of “ROAR!”


If you missed auditions on Saturday, September 8th, you can still join the cast of “ROAR!”

In order to secure your placement in our film, please register on Wednesday, September 12th between 2:00pm and 7:00pm at the King George Hotel. 334 Mason Street. San Francisco, CA 94102. We accept cash and checks for registration (sorry, no credit cards).

If you plan on registering on Wednesday, please email us sfcmtheater@gmail.com to let us know to expect you. Include your child’s name and age. Those who missed auditions on 9/8 will be given the same opportunity to audition at the first rehearsal. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 12th at 7:00pm, since casting will be finalized at that time.

More about the film: The San Francisco Children’s Musical Theater seeks local youth ages 5-25 to star in “ROAR!”, the all singing, all dancing, roaring 1920’s black and white movie musical! Celebrate the razzle dazzle of Hollywood’s golden era in this unique Bay Area cinema extravaganza.

“ROAR!” offers a variety of singing, dancing and speaking roles. In addition to appearing in many musical numbers, all cast members will be featured in close-ups during the film’s introduction, with their first and last names on the big screen. members). Work on a green screen movie set, as well as on location, with 152 West Productions, then see yourself on the silver screen when “ROAR!” premieres at the Castro Theatre, San Francisco’s elaborate and historic 1400 seat movie palace built in 1922. The interior takes you back in time with its luxurious and ornate decor, and a dramatic “Mighty Wurlitzer” pipe organ will entertain your family and friends prior to the screening.

Cost to participate: The fee is $195 per participant. In addition, families are responsible for purchasing one costume (that we find for you) as well as selling 25 tickets to the film.
